Awesomever for Linux (x86_64)

1. Install Steam for Linux, open it and sign in to an account with access to
   Awesomenauts.
2. Extract this whole ZIP into a writable folder outside your Steam library.
3. Open a terminal in that folder and run:
       sh Update-Awesomever.sh
4. Accept the proposed release. The installer prepares the required game
components automatically. If Steam displays an installation window, accept
its proposed installation. You do not need to choose a compatibility tool
or change any settings. If graphics support is missing, the installer asks
Ubuntu/Debian to install the matching 32-bit libraries; enter your system
password in its normal authentication prompt.
5. Sign in when the game downloader asks (password/Steam Guard or mobile QR).
It downloads your original game directly from Steam. Awesomever's server
   never receives your Steam password.
6. Use Play Awesomever.desktop (your desktop may ask to allow launching), or
       sh Play-Awesomever.sh
   Keep Steam open while playing.

Run Update-Awesomever.sh again to check for updates. Interrupted downloads can
be resumed the same way. The updater checks files before activating a version
and keeps previous game versions if an update fails. Never run it with sudo.

Supported setup: Linux x86_64 with native Steam and Python 3 (included with
Ubuntu). Flatpak/Snap Steam, Steam Deck game mode and ARM Linux are not yet
supported. Graphics drivers must support 32-bit Vulkan 1.3. The installer tests
hardware acceleration; it does not silently switch to a slower renderer.
Automatic installation of missing graphics packages supports Ubuntu/Debian
with Intel/AMD Mesa or the already installed NVIDIA user-space driver branch.

Technical details for troubleshooting
-------------------------------------
The installer selects Valve Proton 10.0 and installs it through Steam, together
with the Steam Linux Runtime declared by Valve. Steam handles their verification
and updates. An isolated prefix belongs to this installation; your existing
Steam game folders and compatibility settings are not changed.

A complete original Windows depot already downloaded with Steam can be imported:
    sh Update-Awesomever.sh --source '/path/to/original/depot_204301'
A custom native Steam root can be supplied with --steam-root '/path/to/Steam'.
The pinned source is build 3280710, depot 204301, manifest 8206801614553676409.
The patch is the same native embedded-authentication EXE supplied for Windows.

State and logs: .awesomever-linux/ in this folder. Save this whole directory
if moving the installation; do not publish it. Allow space for the original
game, compatibility components and each installed version.
